Do you and Clarisse have any similarities?
We’re both competitive and ambitious.
What was your favorite scene to film in the movie?
I loved filming all the stuff on Clarisse’s ship with Logan [Lerman], Alex [Daddario], Douglas [Smith] and all the zombies. That stuff was really cool for my character because she got to be in her element. I also liked all of the scenes at camp with Stanley Tucci. It was fun to play another side of Clarisse that was a little more like a normal girl.
Weapons play a big role in this film. Do you have any hidden talents you might consider a secret weapon?
I can speak Spanish! I grew up in Texas and my babysitter would teach me how to speak and read books in Spanish.
We loved you as Glimmer in The Hunger Games. Which do you think was more challenging: Filming the The Hunger Games or Percy Jackson?
I think Percy Jackson—just because Clarisse is such a big character and she has many different things going on internally and different battles. I definitely had a lot more to do.
Are there any other books you would love to see turned into a movie right now?
I’m very excited to see Divergent. I think there’s definitely going to be some cool action going on.
Why should we check out Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters in theaters?
It’s a super-fun thrill ride with so many twists and turns. Your favorite characters get into the most epic situations and they have to fight their way out of them.
